Be Still Silent Retreat

In our fast-paced and closely scheduled lives, it can be difficult to rest long enough to truly listen. The Be Still Silent Retreat offers a simple, prayerful space to step aside from noise and turn your attention toward the gentle presence of God.

What to Expect on this Silent Retreat

We will observe silence throughout the retreat, including during meals, with space for conversation during individual spiritual direction and designated group sessions. You are encouraged to set aside your phone and other digital distractions to enter more fully into this time with God.

The retreat is designed to leave generous space for personal prayer, reflection and rest. Our group sessions are limited to an Opening Session on Day 1, a gentle Evening Reflection each night, and a Closing Session on Day 3.

Come Away to Rest, Reflect and Pray

Throughout the retreat, you are free to slow down, pray, reflect, walk, journal, rest, or simply sit quietly with God. The silence becomes a gracious place where distractions soften, and the soul finds room to breathe.

The retreat venue is spacious with various tranquil corners for personal prayer and reflection, and these have been made available for our use. These spaces include: the rooftop garden, rooftop labyrinth, the chapel, the art room and the tranquil grounds. Refer to the photo gallery for a glimpse into some of these prayer spaces.

Each individual retreatant will be assigned a single, air-conditioned and ensuite room. As these rooms are limited, this retreat has a limit of 7 participants.

Specially Curated Prayer Resources

A selection of printed Dwelling Deep prayer resources will be available to support your time with God. You are free to choose what is helpful, and to engage the reflections at your own pace: follow what draws your attention, linger where you wish, and leave the rest. There is no expectation to complete every exercise or answer every question. If you would find it helpful to process a particular reflection, you are welcome to bring it into your conversation with the spiritual director.

Individual Spiritual Direction

Each participant will have one 60-minute session of one-on-one spiritual direction, a safe and confidential space to notice God’s movements in your heart. This unhurried conversation helps you pay attention to what is stirring in the silence and to listen more deeply to God’s invitations.

Preparing for a Time of Quiet

You are encouraged to bring your Bible, journal and any simple art supplies you enjoy using for prayer or creative journaling, and to leave work and other projects behind. Prayer resources will be provided, so there is no need to bring additional books or devotional materials. Giving yourself a break from reading and taking in information can help you settle into a slower rhythm of prayer, reflection and rest.

Please keep your phone on silent and limit its use during the retreat, allowing yourself and others to enjoy the quiet. You may, of course, remain contactable for essential matters.

Sometimes the soul longs for room — room to slow down, to breathe, to rest, and to remember God’s faithful nearness. If you sense the Lord inviting you into a quieter rhythm, this retreat offers a tender space to respond.

Your Registration Fee Includes

• 2 nights accommodation in a single en-suite, air-conditioned room

• 2 lunches and 2 dinners

• Printed handouts of prayer resources

• 60-minute individual spiritual direction session

• Opening and closing guided sessions, including evening reflections

• Use of the centre’s designated prayer spaces and grounds

A Note About Meals

2 lunches and 2 dinners will be provided as catered bento meals.

The centre does not provide catered breakfasts, but bread, biscuits, coffee and tea will be available. Please bring any additional food you would like for breakfast or snacks during your stay.

Closing Deadline for Registration

Registration closes 3 weeks before the retreat on 6 February 2027, or when all 7 spaces are taken up.

Cancellation & Refunds Policy

• For cancellations received on or before 6 February 2027, your registration fee will be refunded, less a non-refundable amount of S$200 to help cover venue and preparation costs already committed for your place.

• For cancellations received from 7 February 2027 onwards, the registration fee is non-refundable.

• You may transfer your place to another person at no additional cost. Please inform the organiser at least three days before the retreat, by 24 February 2027.

• Card processing fees are non-refundable. Any applicable Stripe processing fees will be deducted from your refund.
